I’m a Canadian‑trained veterinarian with a career spanning equine medicine, biosecurity, and national disease response. After completing Biology and Veterinary degrees, I moved to Christchurch to undertake an equine internship and went on to work in equine practice across Canterbury and Otago.
I later joined AsureQuality’s veterinary team, specialising in large‑animal and germplasm export certification before moving into biosecurity, exotic disease investigation, and emergency response. My work included key roles in the Mycoplasma bovis eradication programme and the poultry industry’s Salmonella Enteritidis and HPAI responses.
I subsequently served as Head of Veterinary Services for the Racing Integrity Board and later as an associate veterinarian with Hatch House New Zealand Limited, where I applied my experience to supporting commercial poultry flocks in maximising bird health, biosecurity, and production.
Today, through Flock Vet Limited, I provide dedicated veterinary and biosecurity expertise to New Zealand’s commercial poultry industry, helping producers strengthen flock health, meet regulatory requirements, and build resilient, high‑performing operations.
